Felix the Cat, the first giant balloon at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (1927), was the creation of puppet master, Tony Sarg.

It’s one of the oldest and largest parades in America.

On November 26, 1924, the Courier-News of Bridgewater, New Jersey wrote of Macy’s inaugural parade:
